The problem is that once CLM makes his decision and he has, Harris will probably not see the field until his Sr season. Jennings will not leave early because there is nowhere for him to go.
If LSU recovers from the two blowout losses this year and ends up 8-4, I don't see how Les doesn't follow up 2015 with anyone but Jennings at the helm. He wants a QB who won't turn the ball over, not a QB who has the most talent or the best arm. It's the way he operates. And it works for the most part. Except he'll never see another national championship without playing the best QB.
LSU has only had one blowout loss on the road. What have you seen from Harris that makes you imagine this? It does not matter if you think Harris will have more talent a year from now. What matters is who can run this offense right now. Harris has already gotten an opportunity to take over and he blew it badly. If he gets better and proves that he can pass the football, he will get another shot. But there is no reason at all to be throwing Jennings under the bus. He is getting it done right now.
SO if Jennings would have "started" AU what would the score have been? Not sure how he blew anything badly considering Jennings shit in his pants vs a high school team. At least Harris looked like a Freshman making his 1st start on the Road vs a Top 5 team.
This is a great fallacy. We have a QB as a place holder. He is not making plays (Neither are for that matter). Its a shame really. QB is more often a wasted slot on an 11 man field.
Some people just have to select a scapegoat, I suppose. It should be obvious to anybody that actually watched these games that neither quarterback has separated himself. Jennings is steadier and makes fewer mistakes. Playing him is a no-brainer until Harris actually excels and takes the job away.
