dupree has 11 catches thru 8 games. 1.3 per game average. maybe we can shoot for 2 to him and turn this game on its head.

The only way that happens is if Harris is the one throwing the ball.

Jennings targeted him 3 times last week. He had a drop and two were OB.

I'm wondering at what point does the LSU fan base completely turn on Harris. What in the world has anyone seen that makes one believe this kid is going to be special? He might be in Malzahn's offense when he can run the ball 80 percent of the time, but I'm not seeing it here. Hope I'm wrong though.

I don't think we've seen enough of Harris to have a clue. Also his base line talent is very high. I think before any judgment is possible he needs to have a full year in the system, see if Cam can really coach him up and see if he matures. In some ways the same can be said of Jennings except that his potential seems lower.

Everyone matures at a different rate and both these kids are under 20 (is Harris still 18?). Yes the SEC is demanding and there is little time allowed to grow but QB is the most demanding position both physically and mentally. Remember both were high 4 star recruits and near the top of their class (Jenning a pro style & Harris dual threat). Hopefully both QBs will show why they were so highly rated when recruited and we will reap the rewards as time passes.

The problem with Jennings, is "statistically" he has not improved. But when I look at highlights from the Kentucky game, he seemed more comfortable.

Nobody knows enough about Harris other than he is too young and not ready to lead this offense "right now"

I think most (myself included) are hoping that Harris will improve at a greater rate than Jennings has giving LSU a better chance to get back on top sooner. Either way, they both need time. I think most are hopeful that with a year on the Bench, Harris can be spectacular his sophomore - junior seasons (Winston, Manziel, Marshall, Prescott, etc.) That doesn't mean Jennings cant be the next Bo Wallace his senior year. LOL

I don't hate Harris, and I don't love Jennings I suppose that's who you are referring to. I think they both stink thus far, and nothing I've seen has lead me to believe either is going to be worth a damn in this offense.
