Great win! Now, looking at the future...

With the offense working itself out, it seems the only thing keeping LSU from being a flat-out dominant team is its pass defense. The corners and safeties are okay in coverage and tackle well but our Linebackers and Nickelbacks are just plain vulnerable. Auburn started it and Mississippi State expanded on it.

This is a concern to me because we have allowed two offensively horrible teams to score a combined 38 offensive points on us in our last two games. That's just not characteristic of LSU ball.

I think our offense will only get better and we can perhaps afford to give up some points, but if it was easy for the Barn and Moo U to pass on us, Tebow, Wilson, and Stafford will really give up nightmares.

What's wrong with it? And how can it be fixed in time for us to win the West in November?

We gave MSU the first 10 points tonight. The second half was not impressive defensively, however.

Our main problem appears to be the inability to get to the QB. Lot of pressure with little to show for it. Add to that the fact that we still have a difficult time with a running QB. We have to spy better. Our LBs are struggling with this.

Their QB was 17 of 26, but 7 of those were to the running backs. It seemed like when we got the 17 point lead, we played safe. We quit blitzing and rushed 4. I wonder if this is why they were able to throw to the running backs so easily. I thought we should have started jamming him.

I think with the talent we have, they will continue to improve. With the improved QB play, I now believe that we can play with anyone. I was worried up to the 2nd half of the AU game. I feel much better now. Don't know if we will beat FL or GA, but I sure do think we can. GEAUX TIGERS

It's definitely possible that he could be back for Florida.

if ducre would have caught that ball it would have been six and a very long night!

i dont know if we we re playing safe or stupid, but even the announceers made a comment abou ttheir two weaknesses, "

    1. QB he only threw 1 int, but not entirely his fault
    2. the secondary-- WTF?
