Like I said, clearly something was wrong. LSU was flat. 10 minutes into the first half LSU was shooting near 20%. Obviously, they weren't playing as hard on d either, if Vandy was taking it to the hoop as hard as you say.

So, it's hard to get up for a game when you've won the SECC and you're feeling invincible. Vandy's only shot to even sniff the post season hinged upon them beating a top-ranked LSU team--so they wanted it harder and played harder. My only point is sometimes you have those kinds of games, and you lose and you remember that you hate losing, so play harder the next game. I guess you can say that CTJ should have known it was a "trap" game and the team should have compensated, but it's easier said than done. Fans shouldn't have left the stadium in the grander picture of the season. :dis:

No reason to get upset about this loss. Let it happen now instead of later. We were due for a ****ty game like this. At least its out of the way.

Agreed, but the AD didn't help matters by not even announcing that they were hanging the banner. I get not doing it until after the game to show respect for your opponent and all that, but if they had simply announced that the banner would be hung following the game instead of vaguely referring to a "special event", more fans might have stayed.

Along those lines, something that absolutely must get fixed come tournament time: Garrett Temple cannot continue to get into early foul trouble. This has happened for the last 3 games, and we can't afford to have our best perimeter defensive player sitting on the bench with 3-4 fouls for most of the game.

Well, we didn't lose by 30 to Vandy, but we did get ripped to shreds in the paint. Does that mean we are figuring out how to play teams with big guys or that this is a weakness that nothing can be done about?

CTJ said in the paper yesterday morning that it was a trap game, he knew. He said the players were prepared. We just didn't match up well, its definetly something that he needs to figure out how to defend, especially for next year when we lose CJ and we have NOBODY inside.

After that abortion by the refs?

Easy for you to say, Mr. Austin Resident. I wouldn't stay and soak in any more disappointment after I had been cussing the zebras from section 327.

It had been a while since I've literally wanted to hurt someone. Felt bad after the game for wanting to inflict great harm on an old man, the official in question. He certainly put a swift end to a few momentum shifts in the game.

However, our tigers simply did not have it on either end of the court last night. Could not buy a layup. On the other hand, they were allowing Ogilvy to camp out under the basket. Believe me, camp he did. 3 second rule anyone? When eh wasn't camping, they were allowing him to go straight to the basket from the three point line. Sometimes it was off screens. many times he simply ran in for a layup with the ball. No dribble - traveling anyone?

Nonetheless, he was pretty much uncontested the entire night until tas was on him towards the end. Mitchell did a good job reaching in when Ogilvy brought the ball down.

    This makes me feel better:

Oh and I left when the game ended. What a dumb decision to hold the ceremony after the game.

The killer was the "foul" called on Q off the steal from Ogilvy where he fouled out. He was incredulous, and it looked like GT wasn't buying it either when he asked that old ref for an explanation. After that Vandy hit the 3-point dagger and that was it.

#44 was guilt of a moving screen almost every possession.
