Hanson is from the Jags and was cut after the Jags took a Punter in the draft.

    :hihi: :hihi:

Something tells me istlsl will hail this as yet another monumental signing, showing that Payton definitely knows what he's doing. :hihi:

Payton just trying to have a backup plan is all that is going on here.

    No harm, no foul.

Back to your Texans, NoLimit.

even the chicks here realize ginn was the worst move of anyone in the draft. i was thinking before the draft i wouldnt take ginn in the 7th. i just think hes a complete bust.

then your fins sign him. how fitting. brady was a much better attempt at a wasted pick. hell hanson woulda been better.

Simma down nah. You can't coach that kind of speed, and his route running is underrated. It's far from the apocalypse that you assert. I wouldn't have drafted him at 9, to be sure, but I wouldn't have drafted Quinn in the second round.

Agree Quinn was still well overrated going into draft day and should have fallen into the 2nd round (may have had it not been for Cleveland trading up).

But Ginn may very well be a bust, unless he does his best impression of Devin Hester in the coming years. He won't be much of a factor at WR (ala Desmond Howard). You just cannot under ANY circumstances select a return specialist at #9 overall. It's almost as bad as the Saints selecting Erxleben as the 15th pick overall cuz he was able to punt and kick in college.

I'm not sure how Ginn got this rap on him about only playing special teams. Jaws broke down the film, showing him absolutely SMOKE Aaron Ross and Leon Hall in the regular season. That didn't just happen on a video game. I just don't understand how Ginn is tabbed as a special teamer only, when he was the #1 WR recruit out of high school, and a star at OSU. I just don't get it.

Of course, most "can't miss" WR prospects are busts (e.g. the guys that don't have speed but sure were productive in college.) And Cameron didn't help things when he swallowed his mic and could only remember Ginn was a PR in the pressure of the Fin Fan Idiots booing him for not taking McNown.

Maybe Ginn will be a bust, but it's absolutely ridiculous to just write it in stone that a guy with his athleticism and productivity will be a bust. Does he not seem a helluva lot like a WR version of Reggie?

A bust at WR. Mark it down.

Desmond Howard is alive and well.
