"I still think he is a great guy but he is like my grandmother. You love the person, but they are stuck in their old school ways....We as a team felt the frustration. But Bill is Bill....I was underutilized in the offense. A new coach can be good the Cowboys." T.O. is right. Who the hell is Bill Parcells anyway? What has he ever done? Oh yeah, 2 Super Bowls wins in 3 trips and turned 4 different teams from losers to perrenial winners. I guess T.O. could have been more involved in the offense and maybe he could have gone from 18 to 25 drops, shattering the record for drops in a season that could never be broken. He does have a point there.
you can't just blame parcells' ineffectiveness on T.O. in the 3 years before him, Dallas sucked, too... it's been the same pattern every year... start out roughly 6-3 or so, and give everyone hope, then lose 4 of 5, or 4 of 6 to end the year, and have it all crash down. Why? Because Bill loses his desire, and energy as the year goes on. Dallas did and does need a new coach, desparately.
I agree Parcells lost his edge their at the end of the season and almost looked like he was going thru the motions. This may have been his worst year coaching a team in his career. A sad way to end things if he never comes back. Owens just needs to shut up however. I think we can all agree to that. He will kill the next coach coming in. He's got 2 years to do it. Trust.
116 career touchdowns > 14-15 drops, or whatever the number was... my count actually is zero, and because it's an unofficial stat, there is no way to fully disprove me.
It'd actually be pretty easy. If I had a tape of TO dropping one pass from this year, you'd be 'fully disproven.'
i am naturally being stupid with my above comment, but i wonder seriously what constitutes a drop? if the ball hits the hands and isnt caught? b/c there are a ton of times where a receiver has it in his hands, but the ball is still damn near impossible to be caught b.c of the defender's position. i guess it's like baseball, and it is the scorer's opinion
