I'm not ready to write JJ off yet. He's still young. But I do think a strong case can be made that JJ has not done well enough to deserve 100% of the playing time.
Yep. That about says it all. I'm pretty hard on Miles and Crowton, but it's hard to complain about the first half. The second half, man... Coaches can only put the team into position to make plays. I'm not so sure they didn't in the second half. JJ just stunk it up from the INT prior to the half through the second half. Fumbles don't help, either. I do think, however, even with injuries, the O-line played much better than last year. Definitely something to build on. It's also not the first time LSU defense has made mediocre QBs look good. Plenty to scratch one's head about on this one.
Overrated: John Chavis Mo Claiborne B.Taylor J.Eugene Ridley Underrated: Kirk Herbstreet's haircut Drake Nevis Pretty much what Red said. And what's up with Jai Eugene, by the way? Remember all that back and forth between LSU and Michigan? The guy has been a total disappointment, so much so that he's been moved from his normal position CB to FS. He's been the Al Woods of the secondary - huge recruit coming in and going out with next to nothing.
i don't know anyone who thought Jai was worth a chit, so I'm not sure he falls into overrated category.:rofl::rofl: end of thread, it won't get better than this response.
you shouldnt look at total yds. those were grossly affected by lsu's success in special teams. yds/play should be more relevant.
Not a bust. Eugene has been a steady player, just not a star. A recruting bust is like Parade All-American Chris Pettaway who never managed to even letter in 4 years at LSU.
well look at it this way...he learned a lesson, bet he will hold on to the ball from now on..and we still got a w
It was a fumble. Replays are clear it came out before he was down. I believe there was a timeout in there and there could have been an unofficial review there.
