It must happen before the bowl game. Must. IMO, he's got a week. The longer he drags it out, the more ire he'll cause the Tiger community. And the less forgiving they'll be if next year doesn't yield double-digit wins. :helmet:

You guys are wanting to pull the trigger to fast and its because emotion is over riding your better judgment. Maybe Miles makes a quick move but it is risky considering the coaches you are talking about firing are recruiting. This has to be done quietly and with careful precision. We dont need to upset this recruiting class or the recruiting process. Its a delicate balance.

Nah, man. Just get the right guy in there and let him start recruiting right away. Nothing upsets a recruiting class more than losing 5 national TV games with a crappy defense and then doing nothing about it.

    Pink slips. Today!

Is it a foregone conclusion that they will be fired, or just wishful thinking on the part of fans?

I think they need to go, too, but is there any credible information (other than the D stats) that makes us think they will go?

I've read a single quote from CLM after yesterday's game that makes it seem like he's planning big change, but that's about it.

    Just curious! :geaux:

I think Peavis and Doughead get pink slips after the bowl game. I would prefer they resign on Monday morning.

That's the 64 million dollar question.

Will Les Miles pull the trigger? I say it's 70/30 that he does.

I know people are probably worried about the recruiting angle, I just don't know if any of the recruits of Mallory's or Peveto's would bolt:

    Michael Brockers - Peveto
    Drayton Calhoun - Peveto
    Janzen Jackson - Peveto
    Kevin Minter - Peveto

Randle, Mingo, Debose, Loston, Telfort, Jones, Stinson nor Dye are being recruited by either Mallory or Peveto.

So you can fire Mallory in the next 15 minutes and it would not do anything but probably enhance our chances at guys like Mingo, Loston, Telfort, Jones, Stinson and Dye.

Firing Peveto is a slightly different story. You have to obviously be careful and transition these guys, especially Jackson with all the rumors swirling around, so that there are no recruiting casualties.
