I wouldn't take the "arrogant prick" thing personal. I think if I were a Duck fan I would love the dude. Especially after he mailed that guy the check after the Boise State game a few years ago. With all the drama behind Blount and that being his first season, he still mails the guy a check for his ticket and trip? That was awesome, but to opposing fans he does kind of come off like a prick in his interviews. But hey, not the worst thing a guy could be.

I think it may have had more to do with not getting jobbed like OU did a few years ago. If there were ever a worse call then the PP7 interception that "wasn't" then it would have had to be the final 30-45 seconds of that game.

Yeah, it was painful writing: BCS National Championship "runner-up"

I tried different ways to phrase it, nothing sounded good.

Still painful thinking about Auburn, played our worst game of the.........

    Well, anyway.

    Go Ducks

I suppose if I were a PAC-10/12 fan, I would get sick of the SEC banter, as well. However, much of it dates back to the controversy of the 2003 National Championship, when the AP appointed SC the #1 ranking at the end of the year, despite never having played in a single championship game of any sort that year. Understanding that LSU had a much more difficult path to the NC, every SEC fan took that as a serious slap in the face. Since that time, we've made it our raison d'etre to make sure that never happens again. . .and it won't.

I guess you could say I enjoy consorting with the enemy, I hear similar complaints on many sites.

There sure are a lot of teams that got screwed out of a chance to play in the big game.

Ducks had a very strong case in 2001, as did little brother Beaver, the year before.

Sick of shouting playoffs. But, seriously:

I'm pretty sure it has to do with money. LSU won't make as much money if they travel to Autzen. Why would they travel out of state early in the season, when they can play a sellout winnable game at home?
As much as it pains me to say it. at this point Oregon has more to gain than LSU does from a game at Autzen. In the past 20 years, LSU had only scheduled one home and home with a PAC-10 team, and all the teams they scheduled were middle of the pack schools. UW, AZ, ASU and OSU. Of course scheduling is like predicting the future. A few years before LSU played UW, Washington was a winning school, same with ASU. OSU was up and coming after the 2000 season, as was AZ with a Stoops brother at the helm.

As far as OU getting jobbed, yes it was a horrible call. There were other calls that went the other way prior to that play (Kelly's push off in the end zone for one), but that's the one that sticks out. PAC 10 officiating is horrendous. The new head of PAC 10/12 refs booted like 11 refs or something. They're cleaning house and trying to get better.
Thing is, up to that point (at the OU game), Oregon was usually on the other end of calls like that. Ditto for OU... especially with Stoops whinny self!
