nice to read someone that know what they are talking about

    Scout.com: Sallee: Top 5 SEC Out-Of-Conference Games

. LSU vs. Oregon (in Arlington, Texas) - September 3
Oregon lost the 2011 BCS National Championship Game to Auburn because of one reason – the Ducks were dominated up front. The first game of the 2011 regular season will be more of the same, as the Ducks again take on a team from the SEC – the LSU Tigers. Everybody wants to see LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson take the next step and emerge as a threat, not a liability. In the opener against Oregon, though, he won’t have to. LSU’s veteran offensive line will open up plenty of holes for running back Spencer Ware; and LSU’s defensive line will dominate an Oregon offensive line that replaces three starters and more than 100 starts. The Ducks may break a big play or two, but for the most part, this one will be a slugfest –and Oregon won’t slug back. Prediction: LSU 27, Oregon 3

I'll bet those "2 other teams" didn't have SEC speed and depth.

How could this happen? Fairly beat Oregon singlehandedly last year and we don't have a Fairly at LSU! :rolleye33:

that stuff is is a myth. the sec winning the last 5 crystal balls is purely coincidence.

and when LSU is exposed and unable to keep up with the ducks you will see what im talking about.

    Oregon 44-24

The SEC has SPEED & SIZE which is why we fair so well out of conference. Don't think the BIG Game atmosphere is a distraction either because we play BIG Games every week. We have size and speed 2 or 3 deep at almost every position not just a few key positions. This does not always translate into wins and may not in Dallas which is why the game is played, but in NO WAY do the Ducks match up physically with any team in the SOUTH. A week in and week out SEC schedule would drop losses on any team outside the conference. We do have issues in execution, but make no mistake, physically speaking the horses are in the SOUTH.:tigereye:

purely an assumption based on denial.

One of the advantages of a D'line getting pressure is the mental aspect it plays on the QB. Even if you are not getting sacks, as long as you tag the QB every series he will hurry with his reads/throws. AKA good pass rush......

This will be a key factor as you are replacing key O'linemen.....

Your QB will get hit often...

We've got 22 other guys, though. Better get you mind off Fairley and start thinking about who LSU is bringing to the table.

Yes we do have Fairley talent. What makes think we don't. Fairley was a beast for one year. Do u know what we have?? And do u think we need Fairley to win?? There are many ways to lose or win games. We have playmakers all over the field that are physically imposing and that is what wins games. Fairly hurt u guys but u should really stop with the AU stuff. Anyone knowledgable of the SEC knows they were not the most talented team in the league. Cam Newton was the most talented offensive player we have seen in this league in a while and as many people have stated and anyone that saw the game knows he didn't even have to take over the game like he did many times in SEC play. He did make key 3rd down conversions. The ducks got beat by AU the team.
