I've never seen any security at any hotel when you check in, including Mandalay Bay. No hotel is going to frisk their guests.
Now reporting 59 dead. 500 wounded. The real question is how did this guy get an automatic weapon. I know there are legal ways to do it but it takes a long time and there is a ton of red tape. ISIS is also claiming responsibility and specifically named Vegas as a target last year.
It's also being reported that a woman was kicked out of the concert for telling people they were all going to die 45 minutes before the shooting. Also, several witnesses reporting multiple shooters and that many of the exits were blocked. Something is not adding up with this.
