Yet this has not reared it's ugly head to hurt Bama yet. Bama has suffered no key injuries that hurt them, nor have they run out of steam in the 4th quarter yet.

Right now the difference between Alabama and LSU is intensity. Bama is playing with intensity and LSU is not. It's not like LSU is complacent or anything, just that the confident, dominant attitude of 2005-2007 is getting beaten by intense teams like Florida. We aren't methodically crushing opponents this year and we're going to have to get angry and intense to beat top-10 teams.

That's reaching a bit. It's ok to say, our QB situation is pretty raw right now but we have some glimmers of hope though. I think it's a mental thing with Lee. I think he gets scared in the pocket and rushes the throws. I mean, he's only been sacked 5 times. (LSU is second in the conference in that category [10 total sacks]) He locks onto recievers which is a problem that needs to be fixed. One good thing about Lee's latest pick-6 is that the game was already decided when he threw it.

Is it really a stretch? Future NFL-er Matt Stafford had a worse performance against Florida (his team lost by nearly DOUBLE the amount Lee's did, 3 picks, no TDs) and South Carolina than our RS Freshman did. Same with JPW vs. Tulane (and he's the QB of the current #1 team in the country).

Yet, everyone seems to hink Lee is hopeless because of his poor performances in those games. If someone like Stafford (experienced, supposed to lead his team to a title) can struggle against these two defenses, then why is it unacceptable that a guy still learning the ropes does it?

Why are jumping off bridges and annoiting Sheppard the starter already?
Have we really gotten that spoiled? Are we really expecting that much out of this guy, that we shrug off when an accomplished vet does it but write off a freshman for doing it? Are we that delusional of a fan base?

Did anyone here honestly expect Lee to have better numbers than Stafford or Wilson vs like opponents?

Im not annointing anyone the starting job. I think we were put in between a rock and a hard place when we kick RP off. Don't get me wrong, I was all for kicking RP off the team, but it did mess up the psychi of the team. Now they have to trust a young gun to lead the offense. I knew this year would be rough on him, but we should be seeing signs of improvement but instead we see just inconsistancy. Another, I hate seeing well Lee compared to this guy and that guy yadda yadda. I don't how he compares, I care how he performs. i'm not expecting, nor did I expect him to come out as the best thing ever, but I wanted to see him make better decisions over the season and he hasn't done it. I'll say it again, the kid has all the talent in the world but he freaks out in the pocket.

    They are undefeated. We're not.

They are ranked #1. We're 14 spots behind.

They control their own destiny. We don't.

They hold the inside track to make it to Atlanta. We don't.

He's performing at about the level he should be expected to perform.
He's playing his worst games against the best defenses he's facing.
Seeing what these defenses have done to other QBs backs up this statement.
Anyone expecting more than that is asking WAY to much out of this guy.

Case in point. I compare him to Stafford and Wilson, and you call it a reach.
    Why?
Because Stafford and Wilson are both better QBs at this point than Lee is (and no one is disputing that).
But both of them also struggled against these same defenses Lee has. But that's not acceptable to most people here for some reason.

Why is Lee not allowed to struggle and have horrible games against those same D's?
Why is he expected to improve against Defenses that aren't allowing 2 of the better QBs in the conference to have even decent games, let alone quality games?
Why do we have a thread asking for a QB change, when his numbers are equivalent to much better QBs against the same defenses?
