We were talking about secondary, big plays happen because of the secondary. And it's not like it's just 1 more. You also do realize that 1 game difference is McNeese State right?

I'm sure it's a fine institution but were they going to light LSU up?

Yes, we're talking about the secondary. Everything I pointed to yesterday was a secondary attribute.

Whether it was McNeese State or Ohio State, it doesn't matter. LSU has played one less game and has worse numbers. One less game, and the LSU secondary has given up more touchdowns. Re-read the post ...

It's a little confusing why you would bring up "plays given up over 20 yards" as your reason for putting LSU's secondary as a better unit. If we change that to plays of 25 yards or more, the two teams have given up 13 a piece. The same number ... with LSU playing one less game.

What about plays over 40, and plays over 50, and plays over 60? Care to revise that statement because Bama has given up more than LSU. What you also fail to mention is that LSU is 7th in the country on yards per completion, meaning most of the yards or pass plays they give up are short dink a dunk plays. Linebackers not covering well, not the secondary. Alabama is 105th which points to a secondary issue.
