Raise your hand if you remember when my Tiger team went into Tuscaloosa in '93 and whipped the defending-national-champion Tide, stopping their 31-game unbeaten streak. If I had been coaching the Tigers on January 9, 2012, they would not have been embarrassed 21-0 on the biggest stage in college football. I could've drawn up plays in the sand for Jarrett Lee, and he would've thrown for 450 yards and 5 TDs. I would've put Honey Badger at tailback, and he would've broken records. With that victory alone, Tiger fans wouldn't be so anxious approaching next Saturday's game. They know LSU has better players than Bama this year, but they're afraid they have an inferior coach. And they're right. If Curley H. were still on the sideline, Tiger fans would be a lot more confident. Sincerely, Curley H.
I won't argue with any of this except the comment about "catching" MSU and Florida. MSU has the best returning starting QB in the conference, and we countered with a guy making his 2nd start when his 1st was a disaster. We didn't "catch" them, they were "catching" us. As for UF, they lost their starter, but the guy who came in has started as many times as Harris. Its a wash.
A position by position comparison will reveal there's not a lot of difference between the two teams ... as has been the case for the last seven years or so.
