Yes there's much bigger relevance to playing on the road in Austin top 10 team regardless where they end up over a Wofford or GA tech. Being battle tested pays its dividends.

I agree this helps prove that Texas was a much better team than their record indicated. Plus I think early in the season, when they were full of optimism and at home, they played their best game against us. Highly inconsistent team.

That’s impossible to quantify. We may not have been as good back then either.

If the bottom fell out of Texas, it would be better to play a team that ends at 15 than Texas who was top 10 at the time.

Helps elevate them pre season ahead of their trip to Baton Rouge. Same song, repeat.

Prior to the bowl victory over Utah, Texas had regressed from when we played them. We progressed and finally started hitting on all cylinders after the defensive melt down against Ole Miss. If we would replay them, Fla.. or Aub. We would hammer them as bad or worse than the Georgia beatdown.

Haha - did he really? Didn't he do the same thing after they beat Georgia last year? How many times does that make that they're 'back'? Too funny...

Agreed, but that doesn’t make it any less true.

So Texas ended last season 10-4 and was 8-5 this yr. So I guessing what he really meant was that Texas was back to being irrelevant.
