Been a wild ride...ever since the middle of last season actually. I think we have had 10 seasons of football rolled into 1 and a half. The loss at Kentucky and then to Arkansas when all looked lost. The craziness that followed as sure fire bets to make the BCS national championship didn't and our quick rise from #7 to #2 to take on Ohio St. The win...I'll never forget that. Then the look of a slight rebuild during spring. Expectations of a 2-3 loss season. Perrilloux...Pick Six...The Defense...5 loses. Then Jordan Jefferson...The Defense...a season redeemed in Atlanta. Yes it's been a wild one. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would live to have seen two National titles in football. I grew up in the Charlie McClendon years watching 7-4 teams every season and got excited with 8-3 and the Liberty Bowl or "gasp" 9-2 and a random Sugar or Orange bowl. Then the ArchHallDinar years. A The little Hitler who pulls us out of the sewer...The Hat...Damn Strong!!!...Kissing the Crystal Part 2... Yes...a wild ride indeed. Here's to LSU Football...We WILL be back. :tigereye::crystal::crystal:
the national championships are of course wonderful, and i dont know why but the thing that stands in my memory more than any other moment, was in 97 when we beat the number 1 ranked Florida Gators in Baton Rouge.
We were still the first with two. You can't dethrone that title. Let's be the only team with 3 too. :crystal::crystal::crystal:
Someone keep a tally tonight on how many times LSU is mentioned during the game. I suspect we'll hear about LSU during the broadcast. Our reign will live onward!
Yes it was a sad moment. I scraped the LSU 2007 National Champion sticker off the back of my car tonight. We will getting a new one soon
