JJ and Lee were both mediocre QBs. This is very true. But again, think about what you suggest about Miles. You suggest that he intentionally plays inferior QBs. I suppose he played JJ because he was his "favorite" and he played Harris, who you believe is the better QB, at AU to "set him up" for failure. Last night's loss sucks big time, and Miles is hurting 100 times worse than any of us fans. You can believe that or not, but it is, without a doubt, how he feels.
I can agree with this. No matter with my disagreement of his coaching, I do believe is a good guy and wants us to win. A little less stubbornness might be nice though.
He's 58 years old, so I don't think he's going to suddenly become less stubborn. I know that all of us are feeling broken down by losing a game we definitely should have won. The AU game bothered me less, as did the Mississippi State game. It hurts to have a team by the balls, an Alabama, Saban-coached team no less, and to lose. But some folks should really let go of thinking that Miles is trying to sabotage Harris, a QB he recruited just last year. Jennings is not good yet; neither is Harris. However, many are having knee-jerk reactions and saying that maybe neither will ever be better than they are as a true sophomore and true freshman. Did anybody on this board watch Dak Prescott before this year? He sucked. And now, I'm wanting his Heisman-campaign-having ass to roll the Tide next Saturday. If my Tigers cannot have a shot at the playoffs, I hope the permanently hapless Bulldogs get a shot and hopefully nail shut a Bama playoff coffin in the process.
No question about it, LSU's rushing offense has greatly improved over the course of this season. However, I can't help but to wonder what if, especially with the "cup cake games", LSU had worked more on passing than we did, would we have still seen the same rushing improvement we have now along with a more balanced offense?
Prescott did pretty damn good last year. Moo u didn't win that is why he got no press. I agree I hope they stomp the gumps. I still say the gumps loose 2 more times this year, moo u and the war chickens.
no. hes just hardheaded when it comes to offense and especially quarterbacks. no one paying attention is surprised at all by our inept passing qb. Nor that our inept passing qb stays in no matter how bad he plays. we simply hoped les would adapt after many years minus a few, of painful, painful offense and realize you need an actual forward passing game in the sec. but les is loyal to anyone resembling jordan jefferson til the bitter end. I knew this before the season started. and so it shall be.
If MSU was losing last year, and they were, then Prescott didn't really do "pretty damn good," did he?
61, not a youthful 58. It helps us differentiate the people who know football from the complaining, moaning, bitching minions.
Just as after the Miss St. game there was a time for a change at QB, I feel now is another time. Harris will not win the job in practice. He has to do it in a game. We have not seen anything meaningful with him after Auburn. Now is the time to define what the spring and next season will look like. If not a change, then a meaningful look at him.
