Our offense put up 400 yards and 38 pts...now our defense, on the hand, stunk...

it is bizarre. Say we had won 38-3 or 38-0, would we still be seeing all these meltdown / sky is falling posts?

Yes, I think we would. In the delusional mind, the only acceptable score in this game would have been if we hung a 60 burger on Towson.

We played a lot of young guys, worked in several different packages and basically experimented. Once again, it's not really CLM's M.O to care about blow outs, shut outs, style points, etc. he used Saturday night as a glorified practice and opportunity to rest our guys, and get the youngsters some PT. i fully expect all of our Starters back on Defense and for them to show up in the swamp ready to bring the wood. Our D is fine, now let's see this untouched play book Miles is claiming.

Could it be, "the air attack" Mett has been promising all year? I really hope so!

IIRC, the starters were still in for the last quarter, which is why Cope got hurt. Not sure about the amount of rest they got, but I agree there was some experimentation going on.

A lot of the defensive starters sat. But, none the less, JC had no business being in there. Still doesn't change we struggled with running QB's either.
