Playing for the best is a smart move. There is no doubt who the best was last night, and for nearly a decade now. Don’t blame the kids, blame the guys running the show.
EVERYONE knew going in that our O could not compete with their D. So, the only way to compete would be gimmicky - a lot of wildcat, a lot of misdirection and a lot of changing the play at the line of scrimmage. The reason none of this was done was arrogance rather than coaching stupidity.
I thought we would be more competitive on o as well, but no....the football gods exacted a cruel price for another LSU qb wearing 9 against alabama took a big step backwards last night. I imagine most of the players thought wtf when we elected to kick the fg such a poor decision
Its like the QB spot, shitty coaching on these areas. We are recruiting the same kids Bama et al is going after.
