Nothin against LSU as a club, Im not a big Chavis fan. I have to say I really like Les Miles(and yes, Iam a Gator) He's a good coach, smart and a good sense of humor. Hopefully Chavis will continue to be confused by the Gators. I loved watchin him scratch his head in disbelief when he was with Tenn. He and Fulmer were a riot. Hopefully he will not get our number as a Tiger. I am sure he is surrounded by smarter coaches in BR. He may learn something from you all. As an aside Iam glad the SEC was restructured 6 or so years ago so we can develop a great rivalry with y'all. We will miss playing Auburn but this matchup will continue its intensity over the years and get better and better. To me the FLA-LSU is one of the best games of the year. All the best

This is true, we have the weapons to score, but we haven't been exactly lighting up the scoreboard here, and we haven't been playing exceptional defenses either.

Tebow isn't the only one who is hurting, they have a couple of defensive linemen hurt, 3 offensive linemen didn't practice this week because of injury, and a few special teams guys are banged up. I really hope that this is the game where it all comes together, and i feel that it is.

I would go with the O Line, Jefferson, and Scott. Their defense is undersized, and built for speed, kind of like Indianapolis in the NFL under Dungy. So hit em with power. Punch them in the mouth with Charles Scott, and when the have to commit to the run, then we can throw it around a bit, but they have the best secondary in college football. We will learn alot about this team in our first drive. Someone said in another thread time of possesion is going to be key, and that is spot on. We can't have 3 and outs, we need to keep our defense fresh, and off the field as much as possible. This is going to be the game of the decade for sure, the National Champions of the last 3 years meeting in Death Valley on Saturday night. You can't even script that.

Hopefully this switching to a zone blocking scheme by the O-Line will continue to open up some holes. Charles Scott found some running room for once and I'm hoping/guessing this is why.

Our best D weapon is for someone on the D-line to figure out what it means to pressure the qb. That, and for all of the blitzing linebackers to stop missing sacks.

I hope he can just put pressure on the QB. Knock the guy around and drive him into the ground. Make him scared. The rest will take care of itself.

With that said, the defense will keep LSU in the game, but this offense has to get moving at a better pace. It was just last week when everyone was saying that UGA had a crappy defense, and we just put up 20 on them, most of which came very late.

UF is a different monster. LSU has to bring it all... and that includes some serious attitude. LSU cannot let the Gayturds get ahead early, especially by double digits.

I'm not expecting a win here. I was happy with the UGA win (after expecting a loss), and at this point I had them going 4-1. Now, they are 5-0, and I don't think anyone realistically picked them to beat Florida at the beginning of the season. I think if LSU loses a close one, we should feel pretty confident. They just can't allow themselves to get stomped like last season. Make a freaking game out of it.

Don't get me wrong. A win would be great.

I see this being a low scoring defensive grudge match. LSU 17 UF 10. I have this weird feeling that Chavis has kept vanilla looking defensive schemes prior to this. I wouldn't be shocked if we see a ton of blitzes from the defense. Florida's WR's don't scare me and our DBs match up good. The TE's might give us problems though.

Uh, yeah! I hope we never lose Florida as a permanent opponent. There is nobody from the east I'd rather play.

Bring on the blitz. Watch the middle open for us. Hernandez, Rainey and Demps in the slot. Ouchh. We will run the option often and short slant routes to set up play action. I will take Thompson and Cooper against your DBs. They are great but ours are no slouch either. Watch out for the double wing with some wildcat as well. It will be a two QB night if Tebow is cleared. I look for Meyer to open up his playbook a bit. Iam sure LSU will too. Fun times. Best of luck.
