Rodney has been reclassified for next year so we're still offering him a scholarship just not for this year.

Moore seems out of it after his visit this weekend. Young still seems firm to Bama, but apparently Ish had a great weekend and this is the first time I've felt confident in landing him.

Not all Polynesian players are from Samoa. Poly players could have heritage from Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, NZ Maori, Hawaii, Tahiti, Tuvalu. The Pac12 has made their recruitment a priority for a long time now. Utah schools have a ton of success because a lot of Polynesians are also Mormon. BYU, Utah, Utah St typically understand and make allowances for player missions whereas other schools try to talk a player out of it. Just a few years ago, the watch list for the Polynesian HoF had 38 players from 24 different schools. The Pac 12 had 16 of those players.

Ed has been recruiting Poly players for a very long time and used to encourage them to lead hakas while he coached at USC.

Now that Tua has had success at Bama, be prepared for more to head that way. Mariota had the same impact for Oregon.

They are a VERY connected and proud community. This is the place to be for recruiting.
    Haka On!

Side note....Americans typically say Samoa as in Saa-moe-eh. But to them, it's Sam-wah.
