LSU fans may want to get acquainted with UC Irvine as it appears we may be headed for a showdown with them in the Super Regionals. Nebraska is losing 8-0 to Oral Roberts in the 7th and I don't think that O.R. will beat UC Irvine in consecutive games. (Nebraska just got their first hit of the game.) If LSU and UC Irvine play next week in Baton Rouge, here's a little info... The Anteaters are 40-17 and have won six of their last seven games. As the #2 seed in the Lincoln regional, they defeated Oral Roberts 9-7 and Nebraska 3-2 to advance to the title game. They lost 2 of 3 at Tulane in March and lost 2 of 3 to Cal St. Fullerton on the road in April. They won 2 of 3 from Loyola Marymount, UC Davis, and Long Beach State. UC Irvine made the 2007 CWS (their first visit) and finished 2-2.
