Other Baseball Regional Updates/Scores

Fullerton lost 3-1.

Looks pretty likely if we win the regional, we're playing ball in the Box next week.

 

:thumb: The ACC, Big 12, and Pac-1 have great baseball...but the SEC has really become a great baseball conference.

Just because we're the best in football doesn't mean we can't be the best at something else too!

 

15 teams have been eliminated thus far leaving 49 with a shot at the CWS...

vandy lost and miss is trailing in the 4th. my mojo meter does not like this...

 

a story about a cal fan from greenie who has spent the weekend at the regional in norman....

he was sitting watching the teams warm up and take bp yesterday when a guy i a cal shirt sits down about 5 feet from him. greenie is right behind home plate and not a lot of people there yet but the scouts so to be friendly, and to learn a bit of something about the cal team he goes down and tries to talk to this guy. about the third question he asks the guy is "how deep is your pitching staff?" the guy's reaction is "why do you want to know?", said in a very hostile manner.

i guess greenie was at a loss. here he is in a tulane t-shirt and baseball cap and i guess the guy is all suspicious. but would be stupid anyway because if it was for another team, the coaches do enough homework they would know. lol. i guess it went downhill from there.

sad think is, two years ago, uci played in norman for the regionals. greenie says that whenever he would try to strike up a conversation with a uci fan, they would look at him like "why is this person talking to me?" fans of all other teams would talk baseball, etc.

must be a cali thing.

 

Ole Miss getting smoked by St. Johns 8-3 in the 3rd.
Vandy up 5-2 in the 5th.
Dartmouth up 3-2 on A&M in the bottom of the 7th on ESPNU.

Ole Miss had the bases loaded w/ no outs, but could only get 1 run in. Down 8-4 now.

 

Ole Miss scores 9 in the last 2 innings, but still loses to St. Johns 16-20.

 

vandy won their first game against ill state and are playing louisville now.

auburn is leading southern miss by 11 in top of the 8th.

bama leading mercer by two bottom 6th.

 

Another season, another year without Ole Miss in the CWS. What's new? :grin: lefire:

 

AU gets a 3 run home in the top of the 9th to go ahead 11-9, hold on to a 11-10 win with the tying run on 3rd. Next game is at 6 on Monday.
