id guess the weight on OSU's shoulders is tremendous. after the 2 latest postseason beatdowns by UF and LSU along with regular season beatings by USC, a good showing is a must. Or the big-10 will continue to get crushed by media and fans alike. unfortunately, after reviewing OSU's schedule, theyve beaten no one of relevance except maybe Northwestern whose only win of note was iowa? youngstown st, ohio, troy, minnesota, wisconsin, purdue, mich st, nw, ill, mich drilled by USC and lost to penn st. texas, otoh beat oklahoma, missouri and okie state in succession. one team is proven and one is not. this could get ugly if UT gets up early and the buckeyes start doubting themselves once again. plus you have a true freshman leading one team with the heisman runner-up who is a jr, starting for the other.
I thought they had more on board before the start of the season, what with returning so many players, but they fell way short. Having watched Ut this year, I just don't see how the bucks can beat them. And you are right Tirk, the press, public hammer will fall hard on the big 10 when they go down. What can even Delany do to resurrect this conference?
Was great when Eddie George explained the reason he was confident about OSU.. "At least we're not playing anyone in the SEC this time.", he says.. I love it.
finally sway ND to make it an even 12, and the final piece will be complete: the big farce conference? have the conf championship game shown live on the history channel.
Does a Texas hungry for a split title show up? Or Will a Texas upset and unfocused because they got left out of the big game show up? Texas has the guns to make this a lopsided game. But OSU is more than capable of making it into an ugly game (low scoring, close, lots of punts, etc...) if Texas is unprepared. My pick? UT 24 OSU 13
yep you know my motto. which team wants to be there more. In this case, Im pretty sure OSU is scared as hell and still somewhat shellshocked. they certainly cant be confident and when that doubt creeps in it could happen all over again. UT can play for the split and have basically no pressure on them. I think it could be an ugly one as well but I trust colt mccoy who was the best qb almost the entire season, to lead this team to a big w. he can flat out get it done and will not let them lose. 33-19 i like weird scores.
The pregame video of Colt putting building blocks together struck me as pretty gay. Couldn't they come up with any more adult like symbolism?
