The E-Canada-E progression was disturbing, particularly when our offense regressed last year. It was logical to not be overly optimistic going into this year.

The scuttlebutt was Brady was going to make a huge difference (a passing-game coordinator with limited experience, really???). Up to this point, we had little to go on except hopes and prayers. O had promised the moon, but hadn’t really delivered a whole lot for us to believe it was true.

After a decade of hopes and dreams, I was guarded in my optimism. And I was relatively high on O pretty early on.

It's been often posted that LSU could be ranked #1 as a team and in recruiting and we would still be complaining.

I'm happy to see that even though we are not quite #1 in recruiting, we all seem to be rather happy and content... Here's to riding this wave into next year... Geaux Tigers...

I tried sharing with my friends here in Los Angeles what's it like being an LSU fan right now and they just don't get it.

    Here's what I had posted...

One of my favorite insanities is being an LSU football fan and this last Saturday, I joined a hundred plus Louisiana expatriates to watch the LSU /Alabama football game on tv at the sports bar, Torrance Tavern.

LSU had lost the last nine games to our arch nemis, the evil Crimison Tide, but we were all cautiously optimistic that this game would stem the tide and what a game it was. Full of highs and lows, in doubt to the last few seconds, but good triumphed over evil as the Tigers prevailed 46 to 41.

As the final seconds ticked away, heavenly victory at hand, I looked around and saw that my fellow equally insane inmates for the afternoon, grown men like myself, were teary-eyed, crying tears of joy, having the onerious shame of eight years losing to Satin lifted from our souls.

Compassionate women were joyfully comforting us as if we were newly born babes. High-fives for all and for a moment, we were home and all was well with the world.

Then we paid our bar tabs.

I doubt there was a single dry eye in an LSU fan after this win. :)

Some things we just have to find out on our own.

So I see a few post reflecting anger over "the process" @furduknfish @ParadiseiNC a couple others

I am no fan of Alleva, not at all. I am curious as to what part sticks in your craw? He tried to get Jimbo, twice, tried to get Herman. I think those were probably the two names out there that would have satisfied the masses but because of his ineptness and/or us just being played to score a better deal he wiffed on both. A blessing in disguise?

Now after missing on those two and because of the timing (it was late in the season) I am interested to hear what you would have liked to see happen. Not to argue, I would just like the point of view of what else could have been done to satiate those that are "angry with the process"

The way I see it we were up against it. The pool of available coaches was fairly thin and we had to do whatever we could to save the recruiting class. It is difficult to do that without a coach and if you shoot and miss at another one or two it only gets worse. I was not thrilled with the hire but I understood why they did it and if you take the time to research my post you will find that I was always in the "give him a chance" crowd. I'm very happy with the way it has turned out so far, Coach O has exceeded anything I ever thought he would do to date. I just don't know who else we could have looked at or more importantly had a legitimate chance of getting at that point in time. That is the most important part, who else could we have gotten.

there is a back story that has something to do with concern over the "process".

If that really happened, then it's too bad, but miles arrogance is what got him fired.

You talking FB in LA ...
Hell they had to throw the Saints Rams game last year in a desperate effort to save the West Coast FB market ... Which is dying ...
Those folks overall have little passion for FB
