I thought our 13-0 Tigers in 2011 may have been one of the best teams in CFB history given the quality wins we amassed. But apparently, this team has surpassed that quality. The overall and complete road looks to be harder this year than 2011.
2011 would have been the greatest college football season ever if we had beaten Bama again. We could have done it too, if we had a decent game plan.
That's the tragedy of it all that the talk would have been whether the 2011 LSU Tigers were the best college football team of all time.
You can't be the GOAT if you don't close the deal. 18-1 Patriots, 73-9 Warriors. My biggest beef isn't that we had to play Bama again. Despite the score our defense played well enough to win until they got worn out from being on the field for way too long. It's that Miles refused to try anything different even when the score was close and we still hadn't crossed the midfield stripe. Jarrett Lee and Zach Mettenberger were both left in the bench with their thumbs up their asses.
Didn’t think about it until this morning. But Saban got outcoached last night. Aranda’s first half was a masterpiece (second half wasn’t bad playcaling until the last TD to Smith). And Brady/E came through every drive we needed them too. And don’t forget we had 1 play to score a TD from the 11 and a beautiful playcall led to CEH wide open(undoubtedly a play brought by Brady).
d played lights out in that game... wasn't it 5 field goals a td with a missed extra point... if the o would've done anything, we win that game...
At least made it interesting. My fav is the gumps bragging on no TDs for two games even though they lost the first and had exactly only 1 TD themselves in garbage time in the win.
