Yes, I realize that. However, with the cluster that this "firing" is looking like, I was wondering if Orgeron might not be here to step in as head coach.

Yes.....but that has nothing to do with Coach O. He was long gone. And now Helton is in a similar situation. As the interim, he lost to notre dame. Last week's debacle in Eugene didn't help. Saturday is ucla. The winner wins the South and goes to the CCG. If Helton loses that one, he gone.

I thought about the same thing. They will likely let CLM coach through this weekend. If they don't already have Jimbo in the wings, then maybe O coaches a bowl game if we end up in one. That will buy some time to let everything else shake out.

If they don't have Jimbo or someone of at least equal ability, they better keep Miles. The administration should give him an ultimatum to make changes on his staff, though. If he doesn't, then he goes down with the ship and negative PR gets put back on Miles. Folks can make the argument about winning % and whatnot, but it's obvious to all that changes need to be made. If he refuses, then the narrative changes to Miles' stubbornness cost him his job.

If someone is already on board, they should've taken care of this with Miles already, just rip it off like a bandaid and get it over with. The silence from Alleva is wussified. Either make the decision and go with it, or support the guy. This makes him and the administration look indecisive and weak. I'm sure there's all sorts of wrangling behind closed doors, but this is being played out in public and they've done a shitty job handling it. It would make me think twice if I were considering the job.

    Just my two cents.
