He needs to prove his HC ability at a lower level before being handed the keys to a major program. Unfortunately the years he has to do that are growing shorter. He's not a youngster any more. I hope we get to keep him for a while, just not as HC. I do reserve the right to change my mind though if he just blows the doors off the program down the stretch.
A few years back I was at Lsu with some high school students for Literary Rally. It was spring practice. Pete Jenkins came walking by us by the Student Union. We had a box of donuts. I told a kid 'Offer coach a donut.' He took half a one and said 'Thanks guys.' My brush with greatness.
I also think it's a positive sign that Peveto has been reassigned and is no longer coaching LBs. That tells me his days are numbered.
They should conduct a $1 a chance raffle to see which fan gets to tell this ass clown he's fired. We'd raise enough money to get Nick back.
My brushes with greatness Met Curley Hallman on several occasions. He was drunk every time. Talked to Jerry Stovall the day after he was fired, He was coming out of Steinberg's with a new shotgun. Met Kenny Stabler at the Flora-Bama Lounge. He was drunk Talked to Stevie Ray Vaughn a few times before he was famous. He was high on coke every time.
Oh, I think he already knows as do a few others. He's just earning a little moving money and getting his resume together.
Anyone think Miles was fired midseason like this, something no one expected at this point, because he refused to fire Cam Cameron last night or this morning? Think about it, he meets Aleva and Aleva says "Les, you have to let Cam go today or we will have to dismiss you as well" Think about it maybe Les knew he was gonna get axed end of season anyway so he just took his buyout and went home now and refused to fire his friend.
