Are taking over the HC job and OC job in the interim. Good luck guys, been given an impossible task. Also, is Pete Jenkins being added to the staff to take O's place as DL coach?
It's going to be very interesting to see what happens at the end of this season. Is Orgeron auditioning? Does he know he won't be retained as the head coach? What does everyone think?
I think Coach O is certainly going to be considered if he makes a huge difference and wins 2 or 3 games we are unexpected to, but that's a tall order. Isn't Ensminger just carbon copy of Les Miles?
How about Vandy's coach , it would be a step up for him for anyone else it will be a step down the new coach will have to change the O and D get new coaches ,a lot of work . It will take 4 or 5 years to rebuild here @ LSU
LSU is not in a rebuilding stage. With the current level of talent on the roster and the monster recruiting class coming in, a big name coach who knows how to let his coordinators do their job can right this ship very quickly, much like Miles did when he came in in '05. With the right hire this program won't skip a beat.
This same scenario played out at USC a few years ago, and O won some big games for them. If he does well here, I hope he gets a legit shot.
