I think he will have Texas in the cfp in the next 4 yrs and wish like hell he was at lsu. I wonder if the swamp in Austin has to get cleaned out for it to happen.
I'm still not completely sold on Herman. Yeah he won some games but he also shit the bed in games he was supposed to win and didn't. Time will tell.
There was no way we were going to get Herman. He played us. He wanted to be at UT (God only knows why). He never seriously considered us ETA: he would have been more successful at LSU. He's gonna have to work some magic at tu
My mancrush on Herman ended last year when Houston starting playing like shit when the rumors of him leaving began to circulate. We could have gotten Herman if we paid him a lot more than we were offering. Jimbo was the first choice and when he turned down the job Herman was offered less than what Jimbo was offered. If you identify who you want as coach then just back up the Brinks truck to his house and start shoveling money out until he says yes. Alleva could have gotten Jimbo if he had been willing or allowed to pay more. As it worked out, we got a coach who may not be as good as Jimbo but i think will be better than Herman. I'm looking forward to 2019 and 2020 when we play a home and home with Texas.
I think he steps on campus with the most impressive resume, experience-wise, than Miles and Saban. LSU has never hired coaches with big name recognition- the get that from being here.
