Last couple of years it's been pretty steady fluctuation between a little below $2.00 to about $2.29. There are places in town that charge more but I don't buy gas from them. There is a Chevron convenience store right at the corner of a major road and the entrance to a wealthy subdivision where the gas is always about 40 or 50 cents higher than anywhere else. Whenever I drive past it there are usually Mercedes, BMWs and other luxury cars at the pumps. I wouldn't buy their gas even if I was a billionaire. Sam's Club and Costco are always cheaper than anywhere else. I have a Sam's card but not a Costco card. Try the Gas Buddy app. Tells you where the cheapest gas in your area is and is updated daily.
I live in Texas. Have a good friend that moved to Portland last year for a sweet Nike gig. I got to experience the mounting frustration of drivers wanting their car filled with little to no employees available. I have seen some non-compliance. What is weird is that you do all the credit card transaction at the pump while the guy waits to pump the gas. It is a very outdated law.
No doubt,.. but we like it, and it aint going anywhere soon, if voters have anything to say about it. The last proposition seeking to overturn "no self serve", failed 58-42,.. the aforementioned changes were passed by our legislature, not by popular referendum. no offense,.. but we don't care what out of staters think.
People in Texas would call you a fag if you asked someone to pump gas for you. Then they would go back inside and continue to let their buddy suck them off.
