west coast big games, like you've been mentioning/advocating, BB Marquee neutral site college football games could be coming to the Pac-12 footprint https://www.oregonlive.com/collegefootball/2019/08/marquee-neutral-site-football-games-could-be-coming-to-the-pac-12-footprint.html Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and the Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park are both under construction and due to open before the 2020 football season. Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott expects those new NFL facilities, both of which will host bowl games involving Pac-12 teams starting in 2020 and Las Vegas will also host the Pac-12 football title game in 2020 and 2021, to be interested in holding early season nonconference games as well. Oregon is scheduled to play Georgia in the 2022 Chick-fil-A Kickoff game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta,[/QUOTE] That’s going to be a beat down of epic proportions with Georgia at home leveling Oregon with those piles of Top 5 recruiting classes and paid pros ... Georgia prolly by 28 or more
well, you've got three years to rattle on, twist my tail about that,.. go ahead, enjoy your trolling,.. but just know,.. a troll's opinion is meaningless to me.
Who can say how good either team will be in 3 years. I can see Georgia maintaining that high level. Oregon is still a year or 2 or maybe 3 from reaching that level if they do at all. I the last couple of years Kirby Smart has gained recognition as a top 5 coach. Cristobal is good but he has a lot of work to do to show he is just as good.
GDF An honest and heartfelt good luck to your team. I believe you guys have a good chance. A good offensive line if the same as a good dline will usually win in my book. I love games like this and I think it is what true college football is all about. Ours comes next week at Texas.
You think it's more important for Oregon or the PAC in general. If I'm not mistaken the conference is 3-3 so far and we've not seen the first kickoff of week one. (Still shaking my head a bit at UCLA and ol' Chip. Good lord.)
IMO, it's close. Now, if it were a team in the South division? Without a doubt, more important to the conference. When Utah is the current flagship, it's a problem. Pretty sure I saw somewhere that the South was rated just ahead of the MAC. Dayum. Not shaking my head at all. That's what they do. DTR was just.....all kinds of bad. I'm sure it's crossed his mind that Sears is in the portal. All that said, go ducks.
I watched Utah vs BYU the other night. Was hugely unimpressed. Oregon should be in the Rose Bowl if they get past Washington. Once again no PAC team will make the playoffs.
Over the years I've wondered just how much Oregon benefitted from USC being under the scope of the NCAA.
