I've been saying all along .... if LSU wins out, the NC game will be: LSU vs winner of OU vs Okie State. - Okie state by default, because they'd be undefeated. - OU if they beat Okie State, because they were slated to win it all in the beginning, and are the media darling. The Media's dream will be for LSU and Okie State to lose, so they can have Bama vs OU. That is what they really wanted all along.
Go Okie State. What a miserable group the OU fans are. Uptight and obnoxious. You couldn't pick a group of fans that are less fun that OU fans. Of course being from Oklahomo, I'm sure the Okie State fans aren't much better. The midwest sure does make for boring people with no sense of humor.
I agree with this. No one wants a rematch. OK wins and I think it will be hard for them to not make it. At this point, if we win out, I think Bama has the hardest time getting in. I think OU, Oregon, then Bama in that order if okie loses to OU. But I dont know. That's just based off of what the voters will do. Will the computers keep Okie up high if they lose to OU?
No way in hell OU beats LSU. That would be the easiest opponent of them all that we are talking about.
OU may not get past Baylor this weekend if they can't keep up with the scoring. Game is at Baylor. Hard to tell how well Baylor is going to play, they haven't played well these past few games. Could easily be a 41-38 kinda game. If you're not in favor of a rematch, you should pull for OU in this game.
I was discussing this very scenario with an Oregon person this morning. Obviously, they are jonesing hard for a re-match. I think the best way for Oregon to get back in the title game is for LSU to lose. While that would affect their quality of loss, they have the momentum in the polls to possibly make a move north as stated above, and especially if OU beats OSU. We have to remember that the computers love Okie St., so an OU victory there definitely helps OU. As said, it will come down to the voters. Let's assume LSU stays #1 and wins out, that could leave Bama, Oregon, and OU at the 2-4 spot. The order could become irrelevant. You are a voter. Who do you pick to face LSU? I see the potential for a lot of voters picking OU since they would be the only team in that group not to have faced the Tigers this year. This is where OU gets a lift in the polls and get the title shot against us. All that said, we have had a very tough road to this point and we still have the toughest road to finish out. I mentioned to this Oregon person the facts of our schedule and who we will have beaten, and how such may spark some talk of "greatest team of all time" if LSU gets it all done. Oh da horrah in that person's eyes.
They couldn't wait to start trying to figure out who take lsu's place if we lose. Not one single person said lsu would still play for the bcs championship if they lose. One dick said he would vote for Arkansas. Lsu is phucked if they lose. They better get lees head on straight. I have a bad feeling this will be phucked up in the end.
All they gotta do is keep winning. If LSU loses to Arky, then LSU may be left out in the cold, particularly if they don't make the SECCG. This could likely have the effect of sending both arky and bama to BCS bowls assuming the SECw beats the SECe in the CG. That is the risk we run if we lose to Arky. If we lose to UGA in the SECCG, then we have a different scenario to look at. It'll be like OU in 2003 where they lost the BIG12 CG yet still went to the title game as BCS #1.
