It's a muddy issue relating to recruiting services, specifically Willie Lyles. http://www.addictedtoquack.com/2013...ante-on-the-ncaas-investigation-of-the-oregon
Much of the modern day nuclear fiasco surrounding the NCAA bylaws, has been this ongoing, insidious attempt to create a level playing field between the have and have nots of college football. Decades of over regulating, big brother nonsense, has done for football parity what prohibition did for wiping out alcoholism in our lifetime. Anyway, Kelly's gone and Miami will skate with minimum damage, even though a gross violator. Poor timing to make an example of a far less grievous Oregon.
I'm totally on board with the NCAA in demanding that all the other teams strictly abide by their rules.
Oh THAT is still in the mix? I wasn't aware it hadn't been brought to some resolve. I remember LSU being in the conversation too. Have we been cleared or have our fans stuck their heads in the mud on it? I applaud your stance btw. Or is that a joke meaning "others" as in not us (Oregon)?
