In junior TB LaMichael James, the Ducks might have the nation's most explosive player. James ran for 1,731 yards and 20 TDs in 2010. A sprinter on Oregon's track team, James had 15 plays of at least 20 yards last season, including 11 runs of at least 30 yards and eight of at least 40. James had a play that covered at least 31 yards in eight games. Backup Kenjon Barner ran for 551 yards and six TDs, and redshirt freshman TB Lache Seastrunk arrived with a ton of hype. There's also dual-threat QB Darron Thomas. He rushed for 486 yards and five scores, and threw for 2,881 yards and 30 TDs, with nine picks. He threw a TD pass in every game and tossed at least three five times. Rivals.com College Football - Preseason unit rankings: Offensive backfields
Add in De'Anthony Thomas, Josh Huff, and maybe Tra Carson too. "Fall camp preview: Running backs" | Oregon Football with Rob Moseley | The Register-Guard
Not sure about their backfield but for a few years they EASILY had the hottest cheerleaders. Does this picture NOT say, "Touch me, Feel me, Eat me"?!?!
Since there are a few Oregon fans on the forum now I'll start this off with a caveat. I'm not taking anything away from the Ducks when I say this. If I was writing this I'd have to give the #1 slot to Wisconsin. Wilson is a great addition to their backfield at QB. Two returning backs who had over 1000 yards last year (total.) Hell, their third string back had over 1000 as well, 996 net. But, their OL was arguably one of the best in the nation last year and doesn't look to miss a step going into the fall. I like Wisconsin to win the Big 10+2. I find the Spartans an odd choice to be in the top 10. Of course, I didn't watch much of them last year but recall their -48 yards rushing in the bowl game quite well. I do think Houston belongs in this group. I've heard, and been a part of, a lot of conversations about the best QB to WR combination in D1 this year and Houston is a team that has come up a lot. Then, you add what's mentioned in the article? FWIW, on the 3rd the Bruins visit Houston. Right now, according to ESPN, that game isn't scheduled to be aired. But, I can see Neuheisel leaving with his head tucked between his legs. I know they went 5-7 last year but there's ample reason to see them in a decent bowl game. Stanford at #2?
