76th Orange Bowl (Orange Bowl LXXVI)...

    Iowa (10-2) vs. GT (11-2)

Kirk Ferentz (80–55 record at Iowa) vs. Paul Johnson (20–6 record at GT)

GT is the 2009 ACC Champions (3rd ACC Title, 16th overall conference title, including five SEC titles, 3 Southern Conference titles, and 5 SIAA titles).

Iowa, well, they made the cover of Sports Illustrated this season...

Starting to look like Iowa is in for a rough season next year. We all know what happens after beating Tech soundly in a bowl game. Well, if you consider a rough season to be one with 9 wins.

oooooooo big pick-six by GT makes it 14-7.

Iowa's QB (6'4, 218, 4th-year/redshirt junior) has thrown 14 INTs this season before today (worst in the NCAA is 15), only completing 56.0% of his passes (85th in the NCAA). In high school, he was the Ohio 3A Offensive Player of the Year. Rivals has him as the #11 dual-threat QB coming out of high school, and NFL Draft Scout rates him as the #13 QB available for the 2011 Draft.

Outstanding punt by Iowa's punter pins GT down within 6-7 yards of their own goal line. The Iowa punter, Ryan Donahue (4th-year/redshirt junior), is rated the #3 punter for 2011 Draft by NFL Draft Scout. In high school, he was a USA Today All-American, Army All-American... holds Illinois state record for longest punt in a playoff game (90 yards)... kicked a 55-yard FG in high school (school and conference record), 80% of kickoffs during his senior year of high school were touchbacks, etc.

What a hole blown open by the Iowa OL!!!!!!!!!!

The Iowa O-line is led by:

--2009 All-American Bryan Bulaga (junior), rated #2 OT for 2011 Draft by NFL Draft Scout, currently rated #5 overall O-lineman in the NCAA by Rivals.

--Kyle Calloway (senior), rated the #7 OT for 2010 Draft by NFL Draft Scout, currently rated #15 overall O-lineman in the NCAA by Rivals.

Monster play by Iowa DE Adrian Clayborn (redshirt junior) has the announcers raving about him!!!! He's rated the #11 DE for 2011 Draft by NFL Draft Scout. Rivals currently ranks him as the #13 overall D-lineman in the NCAA. This season, he's had 9.5 sacks, 9 QB hurries, 18 tackles for loss, 4 forced fumbles, 1 kick blocked, 61 tackles, 2 passes broken up. In high school, he was the Missouri Player of the Year.
