For me, I'd like to see both lines start to play a bit better.

I also want the team to gel, to start clicking -- to, as some have said, find its identity -- and that is something that will take a little more time and leadership. I'm optimistic that it will happen soon.

LB and Safety pass defense. We gave up too many soft routes in the middle of the field in the first two games. There were several drops by the other teams that could have been game changers in the first two games. We can't rely on the teams we will be facing in the near future to drop those passes and kill those drives. We need to make more plays like Sheppard's near interception and Taylor's big hit near the end of the Vandy game to reduce the number of times the opposition tries to gut us with those passes. I expect that from USL a lot this week and we need to improve!

This...thank you for saying it for me.

I'm fine never seeing him do anything more than be a return specialist...unless the line all of a sudden starts opening up holes five yards wide for him to run through. He's fast, not elusive. Opposing defenses know that. They also know if they put a fingertip on him he's going to the ground. But he sure can run.

Give all his offensive touches to Shep.

I would really like to see improvement in mixing up the formations this week. I think our run offense has been easy to read so far, and our Athletes have been making up for this. i.e. KW has been pretty good on the edges. And I can't remember when we have run some play action from the I.

The rain last week took the stadium out of it, well atleast that is how it seemed on TV. I hope our crowd shows up this week to make up for it, lets hope for no rain.

On D, I would love to see more presure on the QB. I hope to see the DE and Outside linbackers play better and keep outside containment, especially in the red zone. I really hope we can take back 3rd down on D, would love to see some more 3 and outs.

To me, Chad Jones is a let down so far.

He needs to stop trying to knock everyone's head off and wrap-up more often. I've seen Rick Allen (from Def Leppard) wrap someone up better than Chad Jones.

I also think we as fans have to lower our expectations as well. I think for the most part we were fine leading up to fall practice. We expected a 3 or 4 loss team, but expected them to compete and find their identity...and wreak havoc NEXT YEAR. Then fall camp rolled around and we got excited about all the great things we were hearing and thought, hmmm...maybe this team can surprise us! Granted, they are 2-0, and still might do well, but we as fans have to go back to HOPING they surprise instead of expecting them to surprise us. I'm guilty as well. A good friend and fellow fan called me on it.

This doesn't LOOK like a title contender, but who knows. I don't think we really know about anyone yet. Florida has played noone yet. Texas has played noone yet. Of the top 10 teams, we really are the only ones to play anyone of note for BOTH games. I realize UDub went defeated last year...but this ain't that UDub! I see Vandy and UDub both in bowl games this year if health is on their side.

I hope we can find a happy medium between lowered expectations and realizing most of the "top" teams haven't been hit in the mouth yet.

"Who do YOU think needs to improve?"
    Offense coordinator.

He telegraphs play calls by personnel substitutions and formation. You can pretty much bet on the play is going to be, the only question is what side of the formation they do it from.

If I were to pick one thing, which a lot of people are picking alot of things, like when I'm playing NCAA Football on the playstation and take a time out and have to give a unit the boost, its the D line. I think the LB's and secondary are ok and will be. I think the offense will get better as we start rolling. For a team without an identity, our dominance IMHO is a suffocating D line that stops the run and pressures the passer. Its why they say (cliche alert) defense wins championships.
