The GA Dome is our home away from home. We are undefeated against ACC teams there (Clemson, Ga Tech x2, Miami), and have only one loss there ever (UGA in 05 SECCG). At 7-1 there I like our odds, but then again, I am feeling pretty confident about the season as a whole.

LOL.....I am surrounded by Big 12 fans, Mainly Longhorn Fans. Hazing comes early around here for what they call " a coon a$$ who forgot what state he lives in" Don’t worry, I love talking smack. I love that I didn’t become a Longhorn Fan because “It’s the thing to do” like all my other buddies who graduated college from smaller state schools but paste their bodies & homes in burnt orange because the Horns won a title in 2005. Jealousy is an ugly emotion. I just want to see LSU take it to some teams this year. Put their foot on some heads, and not let up! Take this finishing 4th in the SEC West and 21st preseason ranking and really spell it out for the doubters.
holy sh!t it was cold that night. a guy who came with us was attending hs 1st ever LSU game. only reason we didn't leave early. about mid 3rd quarter, i started pacing up and down my aisle to to try and get my blood flowing again. we started moving the ball, so i paced a bit more. by mid 4th, I was going up and down the stair between rows 10 or 15 up to about 45. i'm truly convinced we won that game strictly because of how much ground I covered that night in the stands. of course I could barely move, let alone walk the next morning, but I'll gladly take one for the team again if needed.
that is the coldest i have ever been at a football game. including november games up here. and when the stands started clearing out, what little body heat there was, left. greenie and i were staying in nola cause he had some functions there that weekend and i was at the hotel there before my feet thawed out. as far as opening game jitters.... always. i get nervous for every game. my superstitions kick in and i dont care who it is, i am not calm till the clock hits zero. so yeah, we will be glued to the tv for the opening game and greenie will be rolling his eyes when i start acting like a crazy woman. oh well, hes used to it by now. the new dog is gonna wonder wtf is going on tho! lol
