Dear Russell, Since you declared and committed to LSU you have been a ray of sunshine. You are smart, articulate, well mannered, and have been quite the ambassador for LSU as well as the State of Louisiana. No doubt last Monday's loss to Alabama was crushing to you and the rest of our football team. It was almost as equally crushing to all of us in the Tiger Nation. The Tiger Nation does not blame you youngsters for the loss. I am an old man and have a lot of more miles on me than you do. You players, though men in body, are mere pups compared to some of us old farts who are dyed in the wool LSU fans. We have seen good days and bad, life and death, and as hard as it may be to believe, this was just a game. If you decide to come back for your senior season, and all of us on here hope you do, we will be screaming, hollering, shouting, cheering, and encouraging you and the boys on. So know this: we are strongly behind you!
Shep will be back, and we are going to lock down a few more great recruits...and we win the crystal next year...and the next....and the next....
Right on. From this fan to all of the Tigers... congrats on the great and memorable season. Now c'mon back so we can take care of business and leave no doubt.
Yep, come back and shout at the team to play with a ruthless quest for vengance to just destroy, pulverize, crush the last drop of resistance out of every single opponent next year. And if you see any players getting fat and happy with 2 minutes to go and a fifty point lead, kick em in the ass. Crush. Break. Pulverize. Go Hulk on everybody.
