Haha, funny stuff guys. Look, we all agree football is #1. Basketball and baseball aren't even in the same ballpark. Yeah, our baseball program is like what Duke and Kentucky have with their basketball programs. But LSU's basketball program, although not on the level of Duke or Kentucky, is one of the finest programs in the NCAA. I appreciate that you guys are so passionate in your defense of LSU Baseball... but LSU Baseball needs no defense, our basketball team does. And second, if you guys care about LSU Baseball so much, it would be nice to see you actually discuss LSU Baseball on here at some point outside of this thread. Geaux Tigers!
Why did my post about getting students behind the basketball team turn into a free for all about what sport is more popular? Mods...?
Baseball is heavily discussed on this forum and been that way since the beginning. Way more than Basketball.
its about even. neither get much discussion. On other LSU forums, both get a great deal of discussion.
sometimes threads take weird turns. if it isnt getting rude or snarky, we try to to infringe on free speech, even when some people hijack. best advice i can offer is to turn the conversation back to the original topic. most people will oblige you in continuing that conversation.
Not even close. We are almost through a full season on LSU basketball and we have had very few threads. Baseball hasn't even started yet and it is almost even now. I understand you have not been here long enough to compare but this is the common trend.
I disagree, but hopefully our baseball team gets more interest this upcoming season on here. Then we all win.
Is this like disagreeing about Baseball getting more TV time than basketball? Did you miss last season?
Yeah, last season all the LSU baseball games were on the radio except for a few. It's not like that for any other sport I follow. I can get all pretty much all the LSU basketball games on TV, this season and last season. What I recommend to people who can't get into LSU baseball because it is rarely on TV: LSUSports has a cool online play-by-play that you can follow while listening to Hawthorne on the radio (and Hawthorne, although not good as a football announcer to many, is very good as a baseball announcer).
