    Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

    Just watch.

    Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....

    Dan Gilbert
    Majority Owner
    Cleveland Cavaliers

i like it even thought its a load of bull****.

ESPN just showed this on sportscenter. Van Pelt said they had to check the validity of it to make sure it wasn't some hacker.

LeBron said he was still gonna live in Akron. After hearing this and seeing his jersey being burned, he might wanna rethink that. lol.

C'mon Cleveland, you saw this coming. LeBron had ZERO help and you did nothing in free agency to give him help. Look at the brightside, if there is one. Y'all have a good chance at getting the first pick in next year's draft.

now that i think about it, its like being a majority shareholder of Enron then finding out the reality of your net-worth.

Mr Gilbert probably had a one few too many cocktails while realizing the team he bought is suddenly worth the equivalent of delonte west(who boned lebrons mom) and mo williams.

i can empathize with him but he's got to be a professional.

fwiw, this escapade reminds me of how i felt when little nickie slithered out during the witching hour. although lebron milked it for all its worth then shamelessly went on worldwide tv and rubbed it in his hometowns face. unforgivable.

i kinda hope he blows out a knee now.

All I saw on ESPN was child's play. Giggling kids burning a jersey and Cleveland bar goers fighting to be on camera with smiles on their faces.

Who could be scared of that madness.

Dan Gilbert has no one to blame but himself.

He's trying to be Mark Cuban minus the willingness to do anything to win.

    It's his fault he left.

When Shaq at 40 and Mo Williams are the best role players you get for your star, then you have no one to blame but yourself.

The only thing the Cavs have done in the past 10 years is suck badly enough to be able to luck out and win the lottery, allowing them to get Lebron.

right, so why is he so upset he left? does he not recognize his hypocrisy?

he musta did an 8 ball before the decision was aired. hes going to feel bad when he sobers up and reads all this. hes already made it harder for a star player to trust him. none wanted to go to cleveland even beforehand.

let the fans cry publically. thats their job not his.

exactly, he enabled Lebron all these years and let him and his friends do what they wanted around the organization. You have to understand who Dan Gilbert is. HE is a highly conservative religious guy, who wouldnt let the people in the arena play even the lightest hip-hop music before King James. When he drafted Lebron, it was like a nun turned prostitute, he let Lebron do whatever he wanted, so did Mike Brown.
