Everyone in America has a voice. You live in Texas so your vote will go toward determining which candidate will get Texas' 38 electoral votes. Same for me here in NC. Each state's electoral votes are apportioned based upon their population so I fail to see how this takes away some voters voices.

There are battleground states in every election and they change from cycle to cycle. States like Ohio and Florida have been battlegrounds for a while but states like North Carolina, Nevada and Colorado are newer to the battleground status. Even in this election we have two new battleground states in Arizona and Georgia and possibly Mississippi.

I have no problem with "One Nation Under God" Only the most liberal of liberals have a problem with that. To me it is just words and I could care less.

I disagree. When the total number of people who vote for a person exceeds the other, I think they should be elected. That's "one man, one vote."

NO WAY people should know who's elected before polls close and not go vote. You think the forefathers foresaw that? Not.

I don't like it much. but who cares? this wasn't the founding fathers. this was some pathetic attempt to fight the non-existent red scare.

The mythology of a pure democracy is one of the worst things foisted by too many politicians, media and other fuzzy headed idiots. Pure democracy is nothing but mob rule writ large. We are a representative republic where we place the the responsibility of governing on our elected. Likewise the electoral college is there to soften the edge of mob rule. It exists to give a minority a voice and to provide incentive to listen too and campaign in the less populous states.
