Mario is killing it in recruiting, as he's always done. He'll have the Ducks back in the top 10 soon. And the roster will be better equipped to beat teams like Auburn or Ohio St this time.
thanks Tigerbait, good to hear,.. ok then, more now about UofO,.. Note: Cristoball and Leavitt were coordinatotor's under Taggart, both are now in their second year with the Ducks. Head Coach Cristoball's a long time OL coach and like you say, a top recruiter, he really values beef on both sides of the ball, we've gotten much bigger and stronger in the trenches. Coach says we will still be fast, but as far as strength/conditioning and line-play, everybody grit your teeth now, he "wants to turn Oregon football into Alabama West". Oregon's uptempo read-option spread attack,.. is now a power "pistol" running game with a pro-style QB. Nearly all of us like Cristoball's savy, and our DC Leavitt has done wonders for our Defense. Oregon fans are worried about what we haven't been worried about in ages,.. our offense.
LSU has scheduled Florida State in New Orleans one year and in Orlando the next. Almost like a home and home except that both schools will make a lot more money than if it was a true home and home.
No doubt, more $$$ in the kickoff classic games. But at least we are returning to Florida to play the noles. We went to Lambeau. Maybe the Pac 12 should start hosting a kickoff classic game out west.
we seek the exposure,.. I don't like these neutral PAC-SEC games always being in your neck of the woods, but I do love the match-ups
most of the SEC won't leave home,.. for example both aTm and Georgia backed out of recent home/aways against the Ducks,.. chickens
Yep. Up until last year Florida hadn't played an out of conference game outside their state in like 15 years. LSU has never had a problem leaving. We've played our fair share of kickoff classics the last decade (Oregon, North Carolina, BYU, TCU, Miami, Wisconsin) but we've also traveled to Washington, West Virginia, Syracuse, Wisconsin and next year, albeit not too far, but we play at Texas in Austin. I enjoy it and wish some of these other powerhouse programs would do the same.
