I got a question if the coaches cant "coach or teach" how in the world did they win a national championship in 07. No matter who the players are they have developed thoes players it was their third year hear Coach miles, crowton, and at the time BP. Even if yall say they were saban players saban didnt have any time to develope players. So explain to me how they are good coaches
You really mean Les Miles needs better fans. Since if you truly were a sincere LSU fan, you yourself would be lobbying to get a better coach.
Totally agree. I'm not advocating that Miles be fired though I'd like to see improvement in a couple of areas like clock management but Crowton HAS TO GO. I think he is dragging the program and the general opinion of Miles down into the gutter. If it requires a buyout then buy the SOB out. I think if we get a good OC that Miles is going to start to look a whole lot smarter.
My take on this is that it was pure luck. The planets aligned just right, that is the only way we made it to the championship game. Heck, I am getting old but we had 2 or 3 games we won on or around the last play of the game. Sure seems like we gave up a lot of points that season, I would say it takes a better defensive club to win a championship. When was the last time a 2 loss team played for a NC? We were able to outscore the opponent in some cases. W Va lost to Pitt or something like that! 2007 was everything except a normal year for college football, I don't think that is a good example. I won't argue anymore over the rest of this nonsense. If you are happy with the last two years so be it, it doesn't mean everyone else has too. I really don't care who the coaches are anymore personally. There is more to life than watching sports and putting your hopes into a bunch of college kids and their coaches. I've gotten a life and I have gotten over the past, present and future. I'm more worried about my family and the country. Btw, If you reread my post I was being funny, that is why I said "Not really but I think it shows how dumb this thread is" You didn't see the ? I have to admit as time goes by I am less impressed with CLM's and Crowton on the field but who cares really. Off the field CLM's is my hero so far though. Its not up to me so I don't care.
so lsu doesnt deserve better fans? or they do deserve 100% "good" fans that do not rant? what percentage of ranting fans can lsu have and still be getting the fans they "deserve"? can the good fans be vocal and drown out the ranters to the extent that the balance is retored and lsu gets the fanbase it "deserves"? did lsu get to the status of deserving a certain quality of fans by being a winning program? if they lose, will they then deserve the ranting? how many losses does it take to deserve the ranting level as it is now?
Maybe resident statistician izzy will develope a rant rate algorythim to determine the acceptable rate of ranting per loss or a less than quality win.
what irritates me is that fans across the spectrum from sunshiners to negatigers that say (or exhibit the attitude) of "you dont love lsu as much as me", "im a better fan", "because you think different than me you dont love lsu","i dont agree with you so go root for some other school". we all love lsu, we just have different ways of showing it or ways of thinking. the only ones i question are those with a higher loyalty to another school.
I got to hand it to all of the posters here...I don't think anyone blamed the citrus bowl loss on the bad field conditions or the bad call at the end of the game. We complained about it...we admitted that it affected our team's performance...but no one blamed the loss on anything but our own program. That's a mature fan base and reflects a high football IQ as far as the posters here are concerned. :thumb:.
