Stop being a crybaby. If your whole thing here is to throw our coaches under the bus every time they lose a game, then Tiger fans are going to get in your face. Live with it. People don't agree with you. It's not incompetent to lose some games. 9 wins in the SEC is a good year of football--we can't be champions every year. Les averages 10.2 wins a season at LSU with SEC and national championship trophies. Nobody, I mean nobody, ever fired a coach with a record like that. What top coach is going to want to coach at LSU if a record like that isn't good enough? Well? But Grad is wrong. LSU doesn't have bad fans. It just has a lot of fans who don't really know much about college football. Anyone who compares Les with Dinardo and his 4-7 and 2-8 seasons is a prime example.
Some people do. I don't expect a NC every year, I just don't like seeing unimpressive football two seasons in a row, especially on offense. Yes Miles has won games and a SEC and NC championship, but that wears thin, especially considering what has happened at other top notch programs (see Coker at Miami) when a new coach follows a legendary coach. There is the possibility that Miles rode Saban's coat tails to the SECC and NC. We don't know that for sure, but the play on the field makes that possibility seem more realisitic. So far the trend is that the further we get from Saban's stay here the less impressive the team we field. Every top program has high expectations. All coaches weigh that when they look at any high profile opening. Most aren't in this line of work for job security, I wouldn't think, but if you are good enough to be considered at a top level job, there will always be work for you if you want it. Again, we're comparing apples and oranges, so looking at the record of Ws and Ls is insufficient. PS: Many of us like watching LSU football because we like to see our team get it and play at a high level. It doesn't seem like that is being provided anymore.
So you are mad at Les for JJ being stupid and not quick hiking the ball? Who is the QB coach? Who is the OC? I can easily see someone being upset about GC doing a piss poor job of coaching the QB on what to do. What was Les Miles supposed to do at the moment that would have changed the clock management?
i guess the loudest stadium in america and the hardest partying tailgaters on earth arent enough for the grad. shouldnt this thread be in "the sidelines"?
Can't argue with anything you said. Still though, it didn't seem to have as much to do with our O-line not getting their footing as other extenuating circumstances.
