Well LSU played a good game, but you have to remember that was Joe Paterno on the other side of the field. I have a lot of respect for him.

I am hugely...HUGELY disappointed by the team's play this season and especially in the bowl game. I fear for next year if GC is kept as OC, because as much as I understand the obstacles this year (JJ's inexperience, RB injuries, lack of talent on OL), I don't think those obstacles were so great that they couldn't have been dealt with, at least to some extent. There was NO improvement over the course of the season, and JJ seemed to regress. The O has looked sloppy all season long and made way too many stupid penalties. And where the **** was Shep this season?

That said, after this year, I've grown to really dislike a fair portion of our fanbase. I am not a sunshine pumper, but good God, I am not a **** pumper either.

THAT said, I do not usually pray about football, because in the larger scheme of things, God doesn't really care about my favorite game...but please please please dear God, make CLM fire GC's azz.

    You're right Nootch.

But at the same, Miles' game/clock management is inexcusable.

It has been for 5 yrs now.

Think about political correctness of today for a moment.

I say we promote the idea of getting rid of a game clock because all coaches aren't created equally.
Start from there and maybe we can come up with a better game!:insane:

Name a better coach who is available. After 5 years Miles has one of the
best records in the country and is a proven recruiter.

Miles made one mistake on clock management this year which he owned
up to. Give him a break.

There was no complaints when Miles first hired Crowton. Everyone said
Crowton was a great hire and was excited about him coming. Last
was clearly a down year for us, but that was not due to anything
Crowton did or did not do. Blame Perrilloux for that. This year saw
some improvement. Before we hand Crowton his walking papers let's
see what he does next year. Miles' hiring of Chavis appears to be a
smart hire. Definate improvement in defense this year over last year.

The slip screen was not a great call. I will give you that. But it was only
one call. The game yesterday was not lost because of coaching; it
    was lost on the field.

    Not again with the hat.

I agree that field conditions were atrocious. I think both teams should've refused to play on it because of the risk to serious, career ending injuries. Even in high def, the pics on TV didn't do justice to how bad it actually was.

That said, wonder why it didn't affect the Penn St. O-line like it did ours? They were able to run affectively - or at least enough to keep us off balance.

No explanation at all for our receivers. For our running game though, there are obviously reasons why Ridley was buried deep in the depth chart. With us being down to him and Trindon, there was not much hope. Penn State on the other hand was rotating their best backs.
