I agree. The funny thing is. Today's game really wasn't all about the coaches. It seems that the ground game never took off, not because of o-line play, but because no one could get footing. And then the dropped passes and dropped ints is what made this game non stat-like. I'm disappointed in the game, but I cheered until the final whistle. And now I'm ready for next season.
I don't know about better (at least not in every case); however, many could be more patient and not so quick to jump on the negative bandwagon... I understand thay many of us are frustrated after today's loss, which effectively epitomized the season-long offensive woes. One thing I will say, and I think it is a positive testament to CLM -- I never saw the team quit at all this year, and today was certainly no exception. The fact we could come back in the 4th quarter to take the lead, after being totally dominated all day, is a positive in my book. :geauxtige
I agree when it comes to certain ones. It seems that far too many of us come with expectations of championships every year, only to be "disappointed" when we go 8-5 or 9-4. Everything is all rosey as long as we are winning, and winning soundly. Lose one and it's time to return to the actions of our ancestors and burn certain people at the stake. Like many of the negative posters at the forum, the sentiment will shift when we win, and return when we lose. Everyone's a little mad when we lose. It's how quickly you can shake it off and move on and continue to support your team that counts:geaux:
LSU also deserves better coaches. LSU deserves a coach that can manage the game clock LSU deserves a coach that can hire quality coords. to coach up the talented kids that come in. LSU deserves a coach that will not call a slip screen in the middle of the field with less than 30 sec. left in the game with no TOs Most of all....LSU deserves a coach that knows how to wear a damn baseball cap
Actually, I've been to all SEC west venues and LSU fans are the most passionate about their team. I've sit in the crowd at Tiger stadium with opposing colors on and had really good times. Course I was buying. This stuff about true fans shouldn't be critical. That's crap. Would most SEC fans be happy with a 9-win season. Hell ya. But if you want to stay at the top you have to demand, not expect, the very best efforts. From coachs and players. If you don't get it fans have a right to complain. And forums like this is where they go to vent. Actually I think the fans who are honest enough to point out their teams flaws are the best types of fans. Because without criticism how can anyone or any team get better. By the way, Go Ole Miss tomorrow.:yelwink2:
I also think that LSU deserves better coaches on the offensive side of the ball. I am satisfied with the defense. I will say that Les Miles clock Management and Crowton's offense reminds me of the movie dumb and dumber! Not really but I think it shows how dumb this thread is. All teams have good and bad fans, there is no discrimination from one team to the next.
5 drops cost us this game Randle dropped a TD pass. PSU scored on 3 different drives where we had a DB drop an int PSU scored of the int that bounced off Toliver's chest score ain't even close if we make those 5 plays
