Wrong again Red. The Republicans got defeated because they got away from conservative social and political agendas. Not because they adhered to them.

Exactly. The notion that Bush was Conservative and that the recent Republicans in power were too Conservative is ridiculous. Thats why they lost. The movement back to limited, smaller government is on.

there's a 180. i thought this was all an andouille rant on having to pay low six figures in fed income tax and he had to layoff people. didnt know it was a debate on obama's adding 2 trillion to a 10 trillion debt.

Bull. Bush was a conservative cut from the mold of the hero of all conservatives, Ronald Regean. He appointed Regean cabinet and White House staff members, who pursued the conservative agenda with a vengenace. With the same results as Regean, exploding deficits. So much so that Bush I had to break his campain promise and raise taxes.

The only difference between Regean's fiscal policy and Bush II's was that right wingers could blame a democratic congress for the deficit, since Bush's republican congress marched off the cliff with him, they couldn't pull that off this time.

Revisionist history, big time. Like it or not, Bush was one of yours.

Which makes me wonder, where was all his righteous indignation last year when W was in office?
