This thread is not about they way the team played. Leave it out.

This thread is about how awesome the goal-line stand was.

The last time ULaLa scored a touchdown in Tiger Stadium was the year my grandfather was born- 1924. Here we were, with 1st and goal from the 3, facing EIGHTY-FIVE years without allowing a touchdown... and Tiger Stadium awoke.

That Knights of Old crap they've been running- it was real. For four plays, that defense played with heart and passion, and the stadium had that famous energy running through it. The Chinese Bandits stormed the line of scrimmage, read the plays, and did whatever it took. The student section led the stadium as the "drum," as Bear Bryant called it, began to beat. I hadn't heard the stadium that loud since Florida in 2007.

Say what you will about this year's team and its shortcomings and question marks. I could care less about all that. Teams will be good, teams will be bad. But this- this is why I'm an LSU fan.

I was very pleased we nutted up and kept that statistic intact. ULL, you are not welcome in our endzones.

Just a note, Tiger Stadium's first game was in November of 1924.

ULL last scored a TD on LSU in October of 1924, before the opening of Death Valley.

Great moments in Tiger Stadium history come against the likes of Alabama, Florida, Auburn and ranked OOC opponents. NOT against the USLs of the football world

That goal line stand was a lot better than the time my date left me at halftime during the homecoming game of 1975. :hihi:.

Sorry about that. I married her. Do you want her back? You can have her. I'll throw in a couple of kids, a dog and a mobile home and you can
take my place for an appearance on the Jerry Springer Show :popcorn::cry::huh::eek::confused:

I have to agree with this.

UL-L running a dead end play up the middle 4 times rather feably cannot be one of your finest moments TS history.

I hope our standards haven't sunk this low since the national championship from a mere 2 years ago.

My seats are right on the north goal line. Perfect seats for a goal-line stand, We knew for a fact no one crossed that line.
