I will be posting my preliminary BCS rankings later this evening. Hint: LSU is already almost 1 1/2 spots ahead of Ohio State in the computer polls on average, with 1 loss vs 0 losses for Ohio State. Respect. LSU average computer rank = 6.4 Ohio State average computer rank = 7.8 That difference will only widen as the season wears on.
Regardless of how much I don't think Ohio St "deserves" it, no way I can see a one loss SEC team getting in over an undefeated Ohio St.
I firmly believe that they will go undefeated. Urban Meyer has more luck than sense. How he went undefeated last year is beyond me. After watching the Northwestern debacle with the officiating ruining the chance at the upset, I have gone all in with a 13-0 Ohio State team.
The computers are already rejecting Ohio State. How does a storied program like Ohio State in a major BCS conference with no losses end up 1 1/2 spots behind a 1 loss LSU? Because their schedule sucks big huge donkey balls. It's a half step better than Louisville's. Louisville's computer poll average is 16.2, for those who are wondering.
The exception to all of this would be if Alabama had their first loss in the SEC CG. The fall in the human polls would prove to be too much. Or so the Germans would have you believe.
This is what I have been saying since the season started. Lose to UGA at their place in Sept., grow from the experience, win out, and we are in the NCG. I don't care what OSU does. With their schedule, LSU will trump them in BCS poll.
